Blue and White Patterned Tile Trivet with Oak Surround
Stylish and practical ceramic tile trivet with oak surround. Protects kitchen tables and worktops from hot pans and dishes and makes a beautiful table display. 15.5 cm square, suitable for small to medium sized pans, or group several together for larger dishes. There are 3 different patterns available.
The oak is finished with a hard-wax oil which makes it water resistant. The tiles are set slightly lower than the wood so that the wood takes the weight and heat of the pan rather than the tile. The trivets are well-made and very capable of withstanding daily use in the kitchen, however over a lifetime of service they may absorb a few dents and marks (so that your table and worktop doesn't). Wood is also an excellent insulator, although for very hot ironware such as le Creuset which holds a lot of heat for a long time, you may need something a little chunkier to physically keep the heat further away from your surface.
The photos aim to show the colours and finish as accurately as possible, as well as the typical variations in the wood grain. Oak can vary so if you particularly want light, dark, characterful or plain wood please let me know and I'll do my best to accommodate.
Recommended cleaning with a damp cloth but they can also be hand washed in warm soapy water. Dishwashing is not recommended.
